OPT Workshops for International Students

Optional Practical Training (OPT) workshops and advising are a service provided by WMU International Student and Scholar Services. Learn more about this temporary employment authorization for F-1 students in the United States, which allows international students who have recently graduated to gain real-world work experience in their field of study.

Sign up at the Haenicke Institute for Global Education's International Student and Scholar Services office at 3110 Faunce or by calling (269) 387-5865.  Please indicate to the front desk whether you will be attending virtually or in-person.

Sessions are limited to 15 in-person participants, registration IS required. Workshops begin promptly at the time indicated: plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
