The global and international studies program has two separate gift designations: the Global Studies Study Abroad Scholarship fund which supports GIST students studying abroad and the Global and International Studies fund, which is for general program support. See below for designation details.
Global Studies Study Abroad Scholarship Fund
As part of the global and international studies major requirements, all GIST students are required to embark upon a study abroad experience during their time at WMU. In order to help students actualize these global aspirations, consider giving toward this fund! Aside from study abroad program fees, traveling for school can be a financially stressful experience for students due to the number of relatively small, miscellaneous costs that add up over time. GLobal and International Studies Fund
Please consider gifts and donations to Western Michigan University's global and international studies program. Gifts make possible the extra margin of excellence in our students. We may use gifts to invite guest speakers, to collaborate with international partners, to support student research and creative activities, and to offer dynamic and relevant courses.
