Arezo Sediqi is a Fulbright fellow from Afghanistan and a current Masters student in educational leadership in the higher education and student affairs program at Western Michigan University. She is currently researching on Afghan college students in transition. Her research interests intersect around student services in higher education, specifically, policy-making, program development, program review, strategic planning and developing best practices for student affairs professionals in the developing countries. Currently, Sediqi works with the division of multicultural affairs in the program of mentoring for success. She draws on three years of higher education experience as a faculty in the English language department of the education school at Balkh University. In addition, Sediqi has worked on several education programs sponsored by the United States government in Afghanistan.
As a servant leader, Sediqi believes everyone can lead because everyone can contribute to making the world a better place. She has established and led several student clubs. Also, she has held several training programs, sessions, and presentation for Afghan students and professionals. Her ambition is to work with the United Nation education program someday. Sediqi enjoys traveling around the world and exploring different cultures. She knows Dari, Pashtu, English, and Hindi languages. She loves going to the beach, cinema, and gym. She does Yoga and enjoys cooking as well as meeting new people.
