Health Careers Connection Program update
AHEC and the College of Health and Human Services at Western Michigan University are gearing up for the 2018 Health Careers Connection Program. There was great response to our application announcement at the end of last year, and we have received dozens of applications. We will admit 20 students to the program this year.
Talk and Tour Event at Kent County Health Department
The Kent County Health Department hosted its third annual Talk and Tour career awareness event back in November. After the interactive discussion, students and parents were able to tour the facility.
Family Health Care announces perfect score on federal inspection
Family Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center, has successfully completed a site visit from the Health Resources and Services Administration, ensuring continued designation from the Federal agency.

Meet our intern this spring, Elizabeth Rafael. This summer she will complete her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services with a minor in Integrative Holistic Health and Wellness.

Muskegon students visit MSU College of Human Medicine
Michigan State University College of Human Medicine hosted 37 high school students from the Muskegon Area Career Technology Center on Nov. 16, 2017. These seniors are in their second year of allied health courses with plans to major in health or pre-med programs as freshman in college fall of 2018.
