General summary

Manages Miller Auditorium operations.

Major duties

  • Manages schedule for building and programs, including community and University events.
  • Maintains building rentals. Develops, negotiates and executes facility, event and performance contracts and budgets.
  • Collaborates with building coordinator and technical staff to maintain building facilities and operations.
  • Schedules and secures shows in collaboration with booking agencies. Ensures programs meet established revenue goals and reflect the University mission.
  • Participates in financial settlements of performances and rentals.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years’ relevant experience.

Required other

  • Supervisory experience.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
