General summary

Supervises, coordinates and monitors all program operation activities for WMUK.

Major duties

  • Creates a schedule of programs including researching programs available and supervising all local production activities not under the news director.
  • Creates monthly broadcast schedules, adjusting programming as needed. Serves as the primary contact with clients and stakeholders regarding the programming schedule.
  • Coordinates with station staff to deliver content digitally. Serves as the primary contact with the public on all programming matters.
  • Ensures that all programming activities meet the public’s needs and are conducted within the parameters of the station’s mission and purpose, University policies and procedures, licensee directives and the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission.
  • Assists in supervision of fundraising and the implementation of station underwriting activities.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
