General summary

Manages Development and Alumni Relations strategies for young alumni and current students. Leads annual faculty and staff giving campaign.

Major duties

  • Develops and implements programming to engage young alumni. Manages alumni mentor program.
  • Manages and implements programming to transition students to alumni. Plans and executes the office's commencement related activities.
  • Leads annual faculty and staff giving campaign, including collaborating with the advisory board and raising philanthropic awareness across campus. Develops solicitation materials and plans campaign related events.
  • Serves as an adviser to the Future Alumni Student Support Team and mentors the team's student leaders.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
