B.S. in recreation.
- The award shall be made to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in recreation and will be used to support the student during the internship.
- Preference shall be given to students who wish to work with senior citizens during their internships (e.g., interning in retirement villages, senior centers, etc.).
- Preference shall be given to eligible students who demonstrate financial need (as determined by Office of Financial Aid); academic merit shall be a secondary consideration.
To be determined by Western Michigan University's Department of Human Performance and Health Education.
Decisions on the award are made during the spring semester. The award funds are disbursed during the semester in which the student is enrolled in the recreation internship (HPHE 4990). The student must have full-time status during this semester for the award funds to be disbursed.
