The Haenicke Institute for Global Education seeks applications for faculty to join the Global Classrooms Collaborative for Spring 2025. Faculty who are selected will meet during the spring semester in a facilitated learning community that will offer a step-by-step process to design a collaborative online international learning experience (COIL) for their students, including assistance matching with an international faculty partner. The grant is for $5000, half of which will be distributed during the Spring 2025 Collaborative with the other half distributed after implementation of the Global Classroom course and completion of a final report in Summer or Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Application due October 30th.

This opportunity is aimed at faculty

  • without significant previous international experience in the area of teaching;
  • who are interested in providing their students with more international engagement;
  • who are interested in working collaboratively with faculty colleagues abroad;
  • and are not sure where to start.
