So who is excited that WMU is migrating from the current Webmail Plus email system to W-Exchange, a Microsoft Office 365 solution? Hopefully everyone! I've been using W-Exchange for a month now and I have nothing but high marks for the 60+ member committee who recommended Office 365. I am looking forward to the entire campus being migrated so WMU can fully leverage the collaboration power of this unique Microsoft environment.

I am pleased to share with the WMU community the following technology related news and updates. If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.

February 20 is a day that will long be remembered in Kalamazoo. And, as sad as the events of that day were, it really makes me proud to see so many Kalamazoo residents and WMU students rallying around the "Kalamazoo Strong" theme. The relationship between WMU and the City of Kalamazoo does make for a strong community and it has been very encouraging to see so many people working together to ensure that sad events like those that took place on February 20 are less likely to occur in the future

As we enter spring 2016 semester, the Office of Information Technology is undertaking a big project, the migration of our email system, Webmail Plus to a new system that has been branded as W-Exch

The first big snowfall of the season is behind us, Thanksgiving is almost upon us, and before you know it, finals week will be here. As we head towards the home stretch of the fall 2015 semester, please remember that the Office of Information Technology is ready, willing, and able to partner with you on any and all things technology related.

The fall semester is in full swing. Football games against MSU and OSU set the tone for what is turning into a very exciting school year. We all live in an Internet of things culture so please don't hesitate to reach out to the Office of Information Technology if you feel your Internet and/or technology needs are not being met.

Welcome to a new school year, students, faculty and staff! The return of students and faculty always brings a lot of enthusiasm and energy to campus. And, speaking of energy, the Office of Information Technology staff have been working very hard this summer to make sure that all of your campus technology needs will be exceptional this school year.

July is normally a month when the Office of Information Technology is busy upgrading technology all over campus in preparation for fall and the start of the new academic year. It is usually a month when OIT staff are filled with excitement and energy. Sadly, that was not the case this year.
