The W-Exchange login experience is changing

On June 25, the W-Exchange login will change to the WMU Login service, the same login page used for GoWMU. Users that log in to W-Exchange via the link in GoWMU will not notice a change. This change adds the ability to protect your W-Exchange account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need to enter @wmich.edu after my Bronco NetID when logging in?

No. When logging in using the WMU Login service do not add @wmich.edu to your Bronco NetID.

If I have 2FA enabled, is my account protected?

Yes and no. While login to W-Exchange via most web and desktop applications is protected by 2FA, some older applications access email via IMAP and SMTP which is not 2FA protected. After the W-Exchange login change has been made we will be working to secure older protocols that do not support 2FA.

Will I be able to access my W-Exchange account while the change is made?

The change will be made on June 25,  2-6 a.m. During that time, login to W-Exchange may not be available. If you are already logged in when the change begins you will be able to continue using your W-Exchange account during the scheduled change.
