The LBGT student advisory council meets with top leaders and administrators across the university to support a campus community that celebrates the diversity of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The council is comprised of up to 15 students who meet every two weeks with various campus departments and organizations to learn more about LBGT-supportive initiatives already happening on campus. Through dialogue we offer opportunities to expand outreach and support to the LBGT community. In the spring semester, the council will put together a group project from what is learned in the fall semester. The project is designed to address an area of need to further support LBGTA-inclusion at Western Michigan University.
