June Gothberg, Ph.D. has spent a lifetime advocating for inclusive school, work, and community settings. She co-authored the Taxonomy for Transition Programming 2.0 with Dr. Paula Kohler. Dr. Gothberg is currently the Director of the Career Connections Research Center and Assistant Professor for the Evaluation, Measurement, and Research program at Western Michigan University. Recently she received the Excellence in Discovery Award for the Highest Departmental Funding with a history of grants totaling over 20 million dollars. Since 2007, Dr. Gothberg has served as Chair of the Disabilities and Underrepresented Populations at the American Evaluation Association where she co-authored the Universal Design for Evaluation. She is a co-founder of Statistics without Borders (SWB) which provides pro bono services in statistics and data science and a co-founder of the Family Hope Foundation which provides resources and funding for therapies to families of children with special needs. Dr. Gothberg spent 10 years working in the classroom teaching at-risk students, court-involved youth, and students with special needs. She has vast experience with strategic planning, capacity building, implementation research, school-community partnerships and improving outcomes for persons with disabilities. Dr. Gothberg is often called upon as a keynote speaker, consultant, trainer, grant writer and strategic planner.
