University Libraries is one of the largest employers of students on Western Michigan University’s campus. We employ undergraduate and graduate students at one of our four locations on a part-time basis throughout the year. You might assist at a service desk, process materials, offer research assistance, or help visitors and Libraries staff with technology. Libraries departments that hire students include:

Data Librarian (Posting 0604874)

The University Libraries at Western Michigan University seeks candidates for the position of Data Librarian. This exciting new opportunity supports Western Michigan University’s commitment to be a learner centered, discovery driven, and globally engaged institution by supporting campus efforts in three key areas: cultivating and participating in campus research collaborations, consulting with researchers, and delivering educational programming.

A master’s degree from a graduate program accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) and relevant professional experience are required. Candidates with advanced graduate coursework or professional experience are encouraged to apply.
