From library computers
Western Michigan University students, faculty and staff signed in with a Bronco NetID: Your document will be sent to a print queue and ready for you to release it at any print release station. Pages will be deducted from your lab printing account and can be monitored in GoWMU. You can also check your balance. Visit Lab Printing for complete details.
Print release stations are located at:
- Waldo Library
- Lower Level
- First Floor
- Second Floor
- Swain Education Library, room #2800 Sangren Hall
- Maybee Music and Dance Library, room #3006 Dalton Center
You can print your documents from your mobile device and release the print from any print release station in Waldo library.
To print a document, it must be formatted as a PDF, JPEG, or TIFF file and saved to a USB flash drive. To format a Word or Excel file as a PDF, choose File > Save As > Change “Save as type" dropdown to PDF. The PDF, JPEG or TIFF files can be printed from any of the public copy machines. Guests may also print using coins or copy cards and the guest account on the Libraries’ microscanners. Cost: $0.10 per page, by copy card or cash.
For printing purposes, the computers attached to the microscanners are just like other public computers in the Libraries. WMU patrons print using their regular quota printing tokens; guests should save scans to a USB flash drive and print at one of the coin-activated copiers.
Microscanners are available at:
- Waldo Library (Lower Level and Second Floor only)
- Zhang Legacy Center, Archives and Regional History, 1650 Oakland Drive
You may scan materials and microform documents to a USB device or to your email address at any of our print locations for free. Please see instructions in the print areas for details.
