Study Abroad

At Western Michigan University, our approach is globally engaged. In addition to gaining a perspective on global business through professors and international students in classes, MBA students are encouraged to participate in a two-week, intensive study abroad experience—perfect for an MBA student who may not be able to spend an entire semester abroad. The trips offer the opportunity for students to learn about global business in context as company tours, trainings and connections with business professionals and students in the country of study provide valuable knowledge in global business best practices.

The Haenicke Institute for Global Education offers long-term study abroad and exchange programs spanning three continents and 15 countries. Curriculum focuses include accountancy, economics, finance, marketing, management and intensive foreign language study.

Students interested in studying abroad should learn more about programs from the Global Business Center website or by visiting the Global Business Center in Schneider Hall.
