The information for approved sponsored and special sessions of the International Congress on Medieval Studies is submitted to the Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University either online (preferred) or by email attachment, mail, fax or delivery service using the Session Organizer Form (deadline: October 1).
Online submission of session information
We encourage the submission of details for approved sponsored and special sessions online through ScholarWorks at WMU (Western Michigan University's digital commons) powered by bepress (The Berkeley Electronic Press). Initial submissions are due October 1.
- Speedy and intuitive.
- Automatic confirmation of submission.
- Your submission remains available to you for revision until October 15.
- You can include a description of the session, which will enhance discoverability for those using the bepress search function or an internet search engine.
- No need to send the Session Organizer Form to the Medieval Institute.
Paper submission of session information
The Medieval Institute encourages the online submission of details for approved congress sessions. The paper Session Organizer Form is used only by those who do not use the online submission system and prefer instead paper submission (deadline: October 1).
The form (as a Microsoft Word form and an interactive PDF file) for the 54th International Congress on Medieval Studies (May 9-12, 2019), as well as instructions for completing it, can be requested from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Paper proposals not accepted
Organizers of sponsored and special sessions are required to forward (by whatever method is most convenient) paper proposals received but not accepted to the Medieval Institute by October 1 so that the papers can be considered for inclusion in general sessions.
Reservations for business meetings and receptions
Learned societies, associations, institutions, publishers, and other vendors may hold business meetings or host receptions at the congress. Arrangements are made by submitting a meeting reservation (deadline: October 1).
