  • Speedy and intuitive.
  • Automatic confirmation of submission.
  • Your submission remains available to you for revision until October 15.
  • You can include a description of the session, which will enhance discoverability for those using the bepress search function or an internet search engine.
  • No need to send the Session Organizer Form to the Medieval Institute—we ask that you do not if you have submitted session information online.

Online submission

Paper submission of session information

The Medieval Institute encourages the online submission of details for approved congress sessions. The paper Session Organizer Form is used only by those who do not use the online submission system and prefer instead the more cumbersome method of paper submission (deadline: October 1).

The form (as a Microsoft Word form and an interactive PDF file) for the 53rd International Congress on Medieval Studies (May 10-13, 2018), as well as instructions for completing it, can be requested from medieval-institute@wmich.edu.

Advice and admonitions

Paper proposals not accepted

Organizers of sponsored and special sessions are obliged to forward (by whatever method is most convenient) paper proposals received but not accepted to the Medieval Institute by October 1 so that the papers can be considered for inclusion in general sessions.

Reservations for business meetings and receptions

Learned societies, associations, institutions, publishers, and other vendors may hold business meetings or host receptions at the congress. Arrangements are made by submitting a meeting reservation (deadline: October 1).
