Yes, I will be attending
Admission deposits are accepted for 2019 semesters at https://gowmu.wmich.edu/.
Your admission deposit confirms that you plan to enroll at Western Michigan University. This deposit is required of all first-time freshmen and transfer students. The $100 deposit is credited toward your first semester’s tuition and is payable online with a credit card or via electronic check. The admission deposit is waived for Pell Grant-eligible students (fafsa.gov).
How to pay deposit
- Have your Bronco Net ID and password ready. Can’t find it or forgot it? Call the HELP Desk at 269-387-4357.
- Log-in to GoWMU.
- On the Student Home tab, click Payment and Account Information .
- Select the Deposits tab.
- Select the semester you’ll begin at WMU.
- Select Admission Deposit Fall.
- Click Continue.
- Select payment method and enter information.
- Submit Payment.

Please write the student’s name, Western Identification Number and “Admission Deposit” on the memo line.
Deposits may be made by check at the Office of Admissions. Our office is located on main campus in the Seibert Administration Building across the street from the Bernhard Center.
Request a waiver
If you wish to request a waiver of the deposit, we ask that you submit a deposit waiver request form. You will receive email confirmation when the waiver has been approved. Note that the admission deposit is automatically waived for Pell Grant-eligible students (fafsa.gov).
No, I will not be attending
If you wish to cancel your admission, we ask that you submit a cancellation form. The Admission Confirmation Deposit is refundable for cancellations received before May 1 .
Applications are kept on file for two years. If you decide to return to WMU within that time frame, you will only need to update your application materials and no additional application fee will be required.
