Campus and Hotel Shuttles

The Medieval Institute provides shuttle service to locations of the International Congress on Medieval Studies on the campus of Western Michigan University and to selected area hotels.

Campus shuttles

Campus Shuttle

The Campus Shuttle stops at congress locations on the WMU campus, running continuously, stopping at Valley 3 (Eldridge-Fox), Valley 2, Ring Road North (at the Metro Transit shelter), Western Heights, Bernhard/Sangren, Ring Road North (at the Metro Transit shelter), and Fetzer/Schneider. Campus Shuttle buses kneel and accommodate wheelchairs.

  • Thursday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Early morning shuttles (7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.), running continuously, will be dedicated to traffic between the Western Heights residence halls and the Goldsworth  neighborhood and to circulation within the Goldsworth neighborhood, in order to accommodate on-campus residents taking breakfast at the Valley Dining Center.

On Wednesday, a dedicated shuttle will transport attendees staying on campus from Congress registration to on-campus housing locations.

Bernhard-Fetzer Express

The circuit of the Bernhard-Fetzer Express is Fetzer/Schneider, Ring Road North (at the Metro Transit Center), Bernhard/Sangren, Ring Road North (at the Metro Transit shelter), running continuously. Bernhard-Fetzer Express buses kneel and accommodate wheelchairs.

  • Thursday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hotel shuttles

Radisson Shuttle

The Radisson Shuttle provides transportation between the WMU campus and the Radisson Plaza Hotel and Suites, with departures every 40 minutes, stopping on campus at Bernhard/Sangren and Valley 3 (Harrison-Stinson). Radisson Shuttle buses on Thursday through Sunday kneel and accommodate wheelchairs.

  • Wednesday, 7 to 11 p.m.
  • Thursday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, 7 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.

West Side Hotel Shuttle

The West Side Hotel Shuttle provides transportation between the WMU campus and Staybridge Suites, the Holiday Inn-West, Best Western PLUS Kalamazoo Suites, the Baymont Inn-West and the Red Roof Inn-West, with departures every 60 minutes stopping on campus at Valley 3 (Harrison-Stinson) and Fetzer/Schneider. West Side Hotel Shuttle buses  kneel and accommodate wheelchairs.

  • Thursday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, 7 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
