Renowned public education expert to speak on campus

Dr. Diane Ravitch, author and renowned research professor of education at NYU, will speak on "Education Reform and the Promise of Education." This event has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in 2000 Schneider Hall.

Rutgers vice president to take research reins at WMU

Following a nationwide search, WMU has named Dr. Terri Goss Kinzy the new vice president for research. Kinzy, currently vice president for research at Rutgers, will take the reins of WMU's research enterprise, effective Jan. 8

GrantForward

The Office of the Vice President for Research is looking into options for a comprehensive funding opportunity database to replace SciVal Funding. Members of the campus community can sign up to try the GrantForward Funding Opportunity Search and Recommendation service and share their feedback on the product. The trial has been extended through April 27.

Common Rule Changes

The Final Rule for 45 CFR 46, the Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects a.k.a. the "Common Rule" by the Department of Health and Human Services, was published on Jan. 18, 2017.  The majority of changes will go into effect July 19, 2018.
