Beginners Esports Summer Camp

Posted by Tammy Boneburg for Esports

Esports SUMMER camp IS HERE

The WMU Esports Summer camps are an introductory series to competitive Esports. Each camp will consist of 5 days going over topics conducive to the skills needed to excel as an Esports competitor such as communication, teamwork, discipline, and personal development. The WMU Esports Summer Camps are split into two programs aimed toward camper skill levels. The Beginner level camps are only open to middle school participants in grades 6th-8th. The grade that the camper is entering in the Fall school year will be deemed their status for the summer camp. (EX: A student who was a sixth-grader in the Spring of 2022 will be considered a 7th grader.) The last day of the camp will be a show match between the campers to exhibit all the lessons learned during the week where we encourage family and friends to attend.

Due to various dietary restrictions, meals will not be provided. During lunch breaks, we are asking campers to provide their own meals. There will be a place to store any food that needs refrigeration.
