Payroll Paycard

The Payroll paycard is a payroll solution that gives you the option to receive your pay via a Visa® Payroll Card service. This program will provide you with flexible, convenient and secure ways to access your pay eliminating the need to issue paper checks.

  • Students enrolling in the PNC pay card program will receive an email from the payroll office via your Western Michigan University email with instructions to pick up or to have your pay card mailed to you.
  • Staff enrolling in the PNC pay card program will receive the pay card, in a plain white envelope, via the USPS mail service, at your home address currently on file with the University.

Payroll Card

The payroll card is a re-loadable Visa® debit card issued to you in place of paper payroll checks. Your pay is automatically loaded to your payroll card account every pay day. The Payroll Debit Card provides a dependable, safe, and convenient way to receive and access pay on and after each payday. The paycard offers immediate, worldwide access wherever the card is accepted for:

  • ATM cash and bank-branch withdrawals.
  • Free balance inquiries by phone or online.
  • Money transfers to a personal or joint checking account.
  • Store purchases, including cash back.

Many card transactions are free and there is no fee to access 100 percent of the wages in one withdrawal each pay period. There are fees for other transactions. The terms and conditions, fee schedule, other disclosures related to the service and a check option are included in the Services Welcome Packet.
