If there is an item that must be purchased that does not carry the Energy Star label, proper justification must be made as to why it is necessary, and that there is not an adequate alternative that meets Energy Star guidelines. The parties responsible for enforcing this policy are the Associate Vice President of Facilities Management, and the Director of Logistical Services.
