Western Michigan University is engaged in a nationwide search to find its next provost and vice president for academic affairs. The position oversees an academic enterprise that is made up of nine colleges, with a total enrollment of nearly 25,000 students. Other areas reporting directly to the provost include enrollment management, information technology and University Libraries.

Listed below are the three finalists for the position of provost and vice president for academic affairs:

  • Dr. Jennifer P. Bott, The Bryan Dean of the Miller College of Business and professor of management at Ball State University.
  • Dr. Kevin J. Corcoran, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and professor of psychology at Oakland University.
  • Dr. Jerold L. Hale, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and professor of communication at the College of Charleston.

The successful candidate will replace Dr. Timothy Greene, who served as WMU provost for nine years before stepping down last summer to return to the faculty. Dr. Susan Stapleton is currently serving in the position of interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.
