Event set to help students, employees learn about SRC

Check out what the Student Recreation Center has to offer by visiting the facility Wednesday, Jan. 15 and taking part in tours, free classes, exciting contests and more.

The Student Recreation Center is launching a New Year, New You event for Western Michigan University students and employees during a daylong event Wednesday, Jan. 15.

The daylong event is a sampling of programs to get you on a healthy track and encourages members of the campus community to improve their fitness and health during the 2020 spring semester by taking advantage of the SRC's numerous classes and activities. There will be many drawings and chances to win prizes. 

During the event, the SRC will be open from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. so students and employees can—at no cost—check out what the facility has to offer. Bring your Bronco ID card and workout clothes, and use the SRC for the day.

An employee open house also has been slated from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby of the second floor. In addition, the entire campus community is welcome to participate in fitness classes throughout the day as well as attend a neon glow party from 6 to 10:30 p.m. utilizing multiple SRC venues.
