COVID-19 Town Halls

The Office of Research and Innovation is hosting regular virtual town halls to update the research community.  Watch for announcements to join Vice President Kinzy's Webex meeting room, https://wmich.webex.com/meet/terri.kinzy.

Upcoming July 10, 2020: The Office of Research and Innovation and the Graduate College will be hosting a joint town hall meeting Friday July 10, 2020 at 12:30 pm.  Dr. Terri Kinzy will present updates on research and creative scholarship; Dr. Christine Byrd-Jacobs will be providing updates on graduate student involvement in research; and Dr. Paulo Zagalo-Melo, Lee Ryder and Jeff Breneman will discuss international graduate student visa issues.

June 12, 2020: The Office of Research and Innovation is accepting submissions for plans to restart laboratory and field research.  Information on the WMU process is available at InfoReady at https://wmich.infoready4.com where all supporting documents including FAQs are available.

May 22, 2020:  A discussion on the process to restart fieldwork and plans for the process for future phases of research and creative scholarship.

May 8, 2020:  Updates on the COVID-19 situation including a look at what other universities are considering as research and creative scholarship eventually return from hibernation, as well as a chance to ask questions by chat.

April 17, 2020: The first Office of Research and Innovation Research Continuity WebEx meeting for the research community.  Vice President Kinzy covered a brief summary on what we know and don't know related to university research activities, some updates from funding agencies and opportunity for Q&A.
