Rachel Chapin Zapf joined the Office of Research and Innovation at Western Michigan University in 2020. She previously worked as Scholarship Development/Program Officer at the Battle Creek Community Foundation. In this position she managed the scholarship program and budget, liaised with donors and community partners, developed innovative scholarship programs, and composed fund agreements (specializing in charitable class). Rachel also has experience in grant application, translation, and developing and conducting trainings.
Rachel is also a proud returned Peace Corps volunteer who served in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania as an Agroforestry Agent.
