Jan. 25—Early Career Funding 
Explore the Early Career Research funding opportunities for faculty at the early stages of their research careers. We will highlight programs from several sponsors including the USDE, DOJ, NIH, NSF and DOD.

Feb. 22—Applying to the Department of Defense Agencies
Lucy Deckard from Academic Research Funding Services will join us to discuss pursuing funding from the Department of Defense. She will show steps to identifying DOD funding opportunities and program officers, how to approach program officers, writing proposals and where to find more sources of information about the DOD.

March 22—Appointments on Grants

Sept. 21—Data Management Planning 
Daria Orlowska, Data Librarian and Assistant Professor, led this workshop on Data Management Planning. Whether you’re writing a data management plan as part of a grant or just want to get ahead on planning for a new project, this workshop will help you explore your data needs through questions and example materials.  Watch the WebEx recording and request access to materials.

Oct. 19—Grants for the Arts and Humanities
Katherine Kelly from Academic Research Funding Services discussed the ins and outs of applying to the NEH, NSF and other organizations that fund research and creative scholarship in the arts and humanities.  View the Presentation and recording (accessible through April 2021).

Nov. 16—Resubmissions
Grant success requires an intentional strategy and a whole lot of grit and determination. Persistence and patience is key. Join us to hear from those who have been successful with resubmissions. Vice President Terri Goss Kinzy and Dr. Heather Petcovic discussed how to interpret reviews, the decision to resubmit and how to address reviewer comments. View presentation and  recording.
