Engineering House

Eldridge/Fox will close May 2024 to undergo a major redevelopment. This initiative is part of Housing’s ongoing goal to enhance services and facilities for both current and future student needs. Valley 3 will be closed for the 2024-25 academic year, with the new residence hall slated to open in 2026. Engineering House will move to Ackley Hall starting fall 2024.

Currently the Engineering House (Eldridge/Fox), serves as the engineering and applied sciences living learning community for CEAS students. Engineering House hosts special CEAS related programming for students. CEAS Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) also host a meet and greet at Engineering House in the fall and a chili cook off in the spring.

STEP also provides and maintains a computer lab that contains the same computers and image as those in the Computer Aided Engineering Center in Floyd Hall. Students are able to use engineering related software and access work folders from their instructors as if they were at CEAS. The largest STEP Student Success Center is also located in the Engineering House.
