COVID-19 Safety Policies

We can't wait to welcome you back to the theatre! We have enacted the following measures to keep our students and our audiences safe.

WMU Theatre Policy as of 10/14/21

In line with WMU policy and industry standards, we will require proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test result dated within a week of the performance date to attend our indoor performances. WMU students, faculty, and staff can show their green COVID screening badges. Masks are still required for all audience members.

Upon arrival, please be ready to present your proof of vaccination or negative test result, as well as a photo ID. Verification will take place in person during the check-in process. You may show us your physical vaccination card, a picture of a card, or a secure health wallet app.

We appreciate your working with us to keep our students and audiences as safe as possible.

  • Are masks still required?

Yes, masks are still required regardless of vaccination status.  Masks are required in all indoor spaces on Western Michigan's campus.

  • Will there be social distancing?

At this time, we will be operating at a limited capacity providing some space between parties.

  • What apps are available to show my vaccination status?

There are a number of apps that can store information like your vaccine card securely, such as Bindle. Bindle is a secure wallet for your health records and an easy way to share your COVID health status privately with others. Bronson Hospital and others have apps for sharing vaccination status easily and securely also.
