Western Michigan University is the only place that is a university campus halfway between the cities of Chicago and Detroit.
- Attract more students and visitors from the cities of Chicago and Detroit. Allow for easier/greater student travel directly to and from these major cities.
- The ability to travel directly from campus to and from these major cities.
- This idea would probably only work within the framework of a future federal infrastructure bill/plan. However, I believe it is worthy of serious consideration, as allowing for direct travel to/from these cities and the university campus could help to attract a greater amount of people to the university, ensuring its future growth.
