COVID-19 Vaccination Incentive Program
As we look forward as a campus community to a much closer-to-normal academic year, COVID-19 vaccination is now our most critical and readily available tool to safeguard ourselves and those around us. We hope by now you've been vaccinated. As an added incentive and in gratitude for keeping yourself and others safe, fully vaccinated students and employees can receive a $5 Starbucks digital gift card after uploading their vaccination documentation to the Sindecuse Health Center secure patient portal. Within 10 business days of medical staff verifying your documentation, you will receive a message to your wmich.edu email account notifying you of your digital gift card. Additionally, students, verified proof of full vaccination puts you in the running for scholarships worth up to $10,000. To be eligible, you must be enrolled and fully vaccinated; terms and conditions apply.
Here’s how it works:
You may upload to Sindecuse’s secure patient portal proof of full vaccination: An image of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card received upon your final dose or a copy of your COVID-19 immunization record from your medical provider. Medical staff will verify the record against governmental immunization databases.
You will be entered in the incentive and, for students, in the scholarship drawing when you receive your confirmation of vaccine verification from Sindecuse. Note that verification may take five days if your vaccine was received in Michigan or 10 days for out-of-state documentation.
Visit the Vaccination Registration and Verification Process page for step-by-step instructions for uploading your vaccination documentation into the patient portal. This page also contains additional information, including a frequently asked questions section.
