Noncredit materials management courses to be offered this fall

KALAMAZOO -- Two courses will be offered this fall as part of Western Michigan University's noncredit Materials Management Training Program.

The program is designed to help professionals keep pace with advances in the ever-changing production and inventory management field. It is being offered by WMU's Haworth College of Business in cooperation with the Southwest Chapter of the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

Classes in the program may be taken by anyone, purely for the learning experience or as preparation for taking the certification examinations required to earn APICS' internationally recognized Certified Production Inventory Manager designation.

Seven courses will be offered in the 1999-2000 academic year, with four being available this fall. All four classes meet one day a week from 4 to 8 p.m. in Schneider Hall. The deadline to register is one week prior to the start of class. The registration fee includes the cost of the course text.
