Erving, Koetsier and Mueller named All-MAC

March 2, 2000

CLEVELAND -- Three members of the WMU women's basketball team earned all-conference honors for the 1999-2000 season. Freshman Kristin Koetsier and seniors Shelsea Erving and Danielle Mueller were honored at the Mid-American Conference Tournament Tip-Off Banquet, March 1, in Cleveland.

Shelsea Erving was named to the All-MAC First Team for the second consecutive year. She has been an all-conference selection each of her four seasons at WMU. Erving is the leading active scorer in the MAC and needs just six points to become only the 12th player in conference history to top 1,700 points for her career.

Kristin Koetsier was named MAC Rookie of the Year. She was also named to the All-MAC First Team and the All-Freshman Team. Kina Brown (1992) was the only other Bronco to win conference rookie of the year honors. Koetsier is the first Bronco freshman ever named to the MAC First Team.

Danielle Mueller received the first all-conference accolade of her career with her selection to the All-MAC Honorable Mention Team. Mueller led the conference in field goal percentage both for all games played and in MAC contests. She was also among the MAC leaders in rebounds. Mueller ranks 22nd in the nation in field goal percentage for the season.
