Hillenbrand will talk on phonetic perception

Western Michigan University's 1999 Distinguished Faculty Scholar, James M. Hillenbrand, speech pathology and audiology, will discuss his work in the area of speech recognition in the Distinguished Faculty Scholar Colloquium Monday, March 13.

Hillenbrand will address "What Speech Synthesizers Can Tell Us About Phonetic Perception" at 4 p.m. in the Fetzer Center. A reception will precede his lecture at 3:30 p.m. at the same location.
