"Wind Will Carry Us" at Little Theatre Jan 12-14Jan. 3, 2001 KALAMAZOO -- The Kalamazoo Film Society presents "Wind Will Carry Us" at the Little Theatre, Friday, Jan. 12, and Saturday, Jan. 13, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2:30 and 5 p.m. Directed by Abbas Kiarosiami ("Taste of Cherry") this Persian language film with English subtitles won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. "Wind Will Carry Us" is an Iranian folktale about a mysterious group of strangers who, without explanation, suddenly arrive in a small village. "Wind Will Carry Us" was cited as, "The greatest film by Iranian master Abbas Kiarostami," by the Village Voice. The Little Theatre is on the corner of Oakland Ave. and Oliver St. on Western Michigan University's East Campus next to Spindler Hall. General admission is $5 for adults or $3 for students and free parking is available adjacent to the Little Theatre.
