Weinreich elected to state gerontology boardMarch 12, 2001 KALAMAZOO -- Donna Weinreich, director of Western Michigan University's gerontology program, recently was elected to a two-year term on the board of directors of the Michigan Society of Gerontology. Weinreich is also an assistant professor in the WMU School of Community Health Services. The Michigan Society of Gerontology was founded in 1956 to support education and professional development and to promote the exchange of information between academia, service providers and practitioners and improve the well-being of older people.
