Tickets for Miller TV viewing of Bush visitMarch 25, 2001 KALAMAZOO -- Tickets will be available at four locations across campus late Monday, March 26, for seating in Miller Auditorium to watch live coverage of President Bush's Tuesday, March 27, visit to Western Michigan University. Miller will open for seating at noon Tuesday so that members of the University community can watch live television coverage of the Bush visit on a large screen. Bush will be speaking to a luncheon gathering in the Student Recreation Center. That event is sponsored by Southwest Michigan First and the Kalamazoo County Chamber of Commerce. Ticket distribution for the event was handled by the chamber and tickets are no longer available. Students, faculty and staff may obtain two tickets to the Miller viewing by showing their WMU identification cards. The tickets will be offered without charge at these locations, beginning late in the afternoon on Monday.
After 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, any remaining tickets will be returned to Miller for distribution on a first-come, first-served basis. Media contact: Cheryl Roland, 616 387-8400, cheryl.roland@wmich.edu |
