Volleyball and women's soccer matches canceled

KALAMAZOO -- The volleyball tournament at Ohio State University in which Western Michigan University was scheduled to compete this weekend, Sept. 14-15, has been canceled as a result of the tragedies in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and New York on Tuesday.
The WMU women's soccer match versus Valparaiso, scheduled for 4 p.m. today (Sept. 12) in Kalamazoo, also has been canceled. No makeup date has been announced.
