KFS offers area debut of acclaimed film 'The Fast Runner'

KALAMAZOO -- The Kalamazoo Film Society presents the area debut of "The Fast Runner" Oct. 11-13 at the Little Theatre on Western Michigan University's East Campus.

Based on the collected narrative of eight elders of the Inuit of the Canadian Arctic, this critically acclaimed three-hour epic centers on an Inuit legend of an evil spirit causing strife in the community and one warrior's endurance and battle of its menace. The film is in Inuit with English subtitles.

Due to film length and WMU homecoming, Showtimes have been change from the normal starting times. Screenings are Friday, Oct. 11, at 7 and 10:15 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday,
Oct. 13, at 2:30 and 5:45 p.m. General admission is $5 and student admission is $3.
