WFS offers area debut of 'The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys'Oct. 5, 2002 KALAMAZOO -- Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo debut "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys" Oct 25-27 at the Little Theatre on WMU's East Campus. A favorite with critics, this artful and surprising film of Chris Fuhrman's 1970s-era novel is a darkly funny and touching coming-of-age fable with deeply felt performances and dazzling animated sequences from Todd McFarlane (Spawn) that bring the boys' comic fantasies to jolting life. The film stars Jodie Foster, Vincent D'onofrio, Jena Malone, Kieran Culkin and Emile Hirsch. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26, at 7 and 9:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 27, at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and student admission is $3. The Little Theatre is located on the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver St. There is free off-street parking behind the theatre.
