Dalton concert features Dave Liebman QuartetOct. 13, 2002 KALAMAZOO -- The Dave Liebman Quartet will perform Monday, Oct. 21, beginning at 8:15 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall, sponsored by the WMU School of Music. Tickets for the concert are $15 general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens and are available through the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office at (269)387-2300 or toll free (800) 228-9858. Liebman is a gifted jazz musician, composer and teacher. He has been featured on nearly 300 recordings with such jazz greats as Elvin Jones, Miles Davis, Chick Corea and John Scofield. More than 200 of his original compositions have been recorded. His artistic output has ranged from straight ahead to chamber jazz; from fusion to avant garde. The current Dave Liebman Group also includes of guitarist Vic Juris, bassist Tony Marino and drummer Marko Marcinko.
