WIDR debuts student playsDec. 6, 2002 KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University's student-managed radio station, WIDR 89.1 FM, will debut plays by two WMU students today and Monday. Both plays will air during "The Nonchalant Cafe Hour," from noon to 1 p.m. "This is Offensive on So Many Levels," a play by senior Nick Gauthier, airs Friday, Dec. 6. The performances features the vocal talents of WMU undergraduates Mike Monje, Nick Rich and Ben Stap; graduate student Bethany Gibson; and Arnie Johnston, chair of the Department of English. "Elson Floyd at the Taco Bell," written by Gibson, airs Monday, Dec. 9. It features the voices of students Nick Gauthier, Justin Gibson, Nick Rich and Ben Stap; and alumna Robin Runyan. "The Nonchalant Café Hour," which airs weekdays from noon to 1 p.m., features hosts the Captain, DJ Dallas and the Dirty Hippy. The program regularly features poets and playwrights.
