"Late Night Catechism" staged in Shaw TheatreOct. 20, 2003 KALAMAZOO -- Come "back to school" as Miller Auditorium at Western Michigan University presents "Late Night Catechism" in Laura V. Shaw Theatre Oct. 21-26. Catechism is made fun and hilarious--unlike you remember--when led by Sister in "Late Night Catechism" by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donavan. This international hit comedy was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award in New York and won the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Lead Performance for Maripat Donovan. The checkered linoleum and habit-clad nun will bring back the thought-forgot Catholic school days of your past. Catholics and non-Catholics alike become part of what is sure to be the most comical and enjoyable adult catechism class ever attended. The authoritarian whims of Sister steer the evening as she doles out glow-in-the-dark rosaries at one moment and confiscates lipstick and candy at the next. Showtimes Oct. 21-26 are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $35 and are available by calling (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858, online at www.millerauditorium.com, at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office, or at the Epic Center Box Office in downtown Kalamazoo. "Late Night Catechism" is sponsored by WWMT Channel 3 and WKFR 103.3 FM. Media contact: Tracey Lawie, 269 2309, tracey.lawie@wmich.edu |
