WFS presents area debut of 'Dirty Pretty Things'

Nov. 14, 2003

KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo debut of "Dirty Pretty Things," starring Audrey Tautou and directed by Stephen Frears, Nov. 21-23, at the Little Theatre on the campus of Western Michigan University.

Show times for "Dirty Pretty Things" are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22, and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23. General admission is $5 and $3 for students.

"Dirty Pretty Things" is about Okwe, a kind-hearted Nigerian doctor, and Senay, a Turkish chambermaid, who work at the same West London hotel. The hotel is run by Senor Sneaky and is the sort of place where dirty business like drug dealing and prostitution takes place. However, when Okwe finds a human heart in one of the toilets, he uncovers something far more sinister than just a common crime, until finally he snaps and rampages through the hotel.

The Little Theatre is located on the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on Western Michigan University's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre. For more information, call the movie line at 269 387-8221 or visit the Western Film Society on the Internet at <www.geocities.com/westernfilmsociety>.
