'Brass Celebration of Christmas' is an annual favoriteDec. 1, 2003 KALAMAZOO--The Western Brass Quintet presents its popular Christmas concert Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University. The concert is free and open to the public. "A Brass Celebration of Christmas" features the Western Brass Quintet and an ensemble of outstanding students and faculty from the School of Music, including percussionist Judy Moonert. Members of the brass quintet are Scott Thornburg and Stephen Jones (trumpet), Lin Foulk (horn), Daniel Mattson (trombone) and Andrew Miller (tuba). The program includes festive music for brass ensemble with selections from the Renaissance, the Baroque and other periods.
