Web payment option available for parking finesJan. 6, 2004 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Parking Services staff can't take the sting out of getting a parking ticket, but they have made it a lot easier and more convenient to pay the fine. Fines for parking violations can be paid through the Parking Services Web site at <www.parking.wmich.edu> by clicking on "Pay Parking Tickets." By entering your Social Security number or vehicle license number, you can view all outstanding fines, or confirm that you have none. Past-due fines are automatically updated to show the current amount owed. Fines can be paid using the secure-server site with a MasterCard, Discover or Visa credit card. Once the credit card transaction is approved, the Web page may be printed as proof of payment. And because Web payment is available 24 hours a day, including holidays, WMU employees and students can pay fines and avoid late fees, even if they are thousands of miles from campus during a holiday break or recess.
