WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Gift totals reported to trustees Sept. 30, 2004 KALAMAZOO--During June and July, Western Michigan University received gifts totaling $1,260,379 and $825,822, respectively. The $825,822 received in July was also the total for the current fiscal year reported to the WMU Board of Trustees at its Sept. 17 meeting by Bud Bender, WMU vice president for development and executive director of the WMU Foundation. Audited totals for August were not available in time for the September report to the trustees. The $1,260,379 received in June was part of the 2003-04 fiscal-year total of $23,040,924 previously announced in an Aug. 4 WMU News story. The amount is the second-largest one-year total in WMU history. The university's fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30.
