WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Registration open for annual Turkey Trot 5K race Oct. 21, 2004 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's 41st annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is Saturday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m. and is open to all WMU students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public. The course is 3.1 miles through and around the beautiful WMU campus. Registration is $13 and every participant has the opportunity to lower the price of the fee by donating canned goods. For every canned good donated, $1 will be taken off of the registration fee to a maximum of $3 off. Registration by Nov. 5 guarantees a Turkey Trot t-shirt. Race-day registration is $20 at the indoor tennis courts in the Student Recreation Center, which is also where runners and walkers will gather for the 9 a.m. start of the race. For race registration forms and maps, visit the Intramural Office on the 3rd floor of the Student Recreation Center or visit SRC on the Web at <www.src.wmich.edu>. Completed race forms should be submitted with payment at the Intramural Office.
