WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Free concert features two university bandsNov. 15, 2004 KALAMAZOO--The University Concert Band, conducted by Robert Spradling, and University Symphonic Band, under the direction of John Lychner, collaborate for a free concert of music by American and European composers, Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. in Miller Auditorium at Western Michigan University. The concert features guest conductor Dr. Bobby Adams, director of bands at Stetson University in Deland, Fla. Adams is a nationally known wind band conductor and clinician. He will lead the University Concert Band in Lauridsen's "O Magnum Mysterium" and the University Symphonic Band in Elgar's "Enigma Variations."
